We aim to cater to our students’ needs by providing structured and fun Salsa classes that will also give you a great workout.
Our unique course layout is tailored to get you on the dance floor faster and give you a smooth transition from the Salsa classes to the clubs. The specifically designed 8-week course aims to keep you moving from a beginner stage to an advance stage with joy and confidence. Each salsa lesson aims to keep your feet moving and your face smiling.

The hotest dance styles making its way around Sydney!
Club Salsa is bringing you a taste of different dance Styles, starting Tuesday 1st February, 2011.
Based on your feedback in class and online we will be running Bachata, Salsa and Zouk with instructors that include 5-times World Champion Oliver PIneda.
Each style will run in Eight (8) 1 hr classes. The Schedule is as follows:
7:30-8:30pm - Beginner to Intermediate Essentials with Oliver Pineda
This Eight Week workshop will consist of everything Salsa, come and learn what our Australian 5 Time World Salsa Champion as he teaches You, what all Beginners to Intermediate Students should know. Leading, Following, Spins, Turns, Shines, Body Movement and His 6 secrets to a successful social dance. Don't miss this chance to begin your year on the right foot!
7:30-8:30pm - Absolute Beginners with Graeme and Isabella
A FUN FUN FUN class for those transferring from other Beginner courses or doing Salsa for the very first time. This course covers the basic elements and fundamentals making up the foundation of Salsa. This is a set syllabus of Salsa fundamentals broken down carefully and making learning easy, a fun filled class that will have you dancing Salsa by the end of your 8 week course.
8:30-9:30pm - Intermediate to Advanced Salsa with Oliver Pineda
This Eight Week workshop will take your Salsa to new heights & consist of everything Salsa. This advanced class will include some of Oliver's favourite moves created and inspired by His travels around the world. Learn what our Australian 5 Time World Salsa Champion as he teaches You, what all Beginners to Intermediate Students should know. Leading, Following, Spins, Turns, Shines, Body Movement and Musicality - learn to hear Salsa through the ears of a Champion, find out how the music 'dictates' what and how an intermediate to advanced dancer should be moving. These performance Teams will be learning Choregraphy from a range of dance styles including Salsa, Bachata and Zouk Lambada. These 2 teams will be the representative teams for Club Salsa for 2011.
8:30pm - 9:30pm Bachata Beginners to Intermediate Workshop with JV & Barbara
Bachata A form of music and dance that originated in the countryside and the rural neighborhoods of the Dominican Republic. Its subjects are often romantic; especially prevalent are tales of heartbreak and sadness. Most of the early compositions can be attributed to Rodobaldo Duartes (Cuba). Currently many artists sing derivations of the root compositions. The dance is a four-step beat achieved with a walking Cuban hip motion, and a unique “pop”. The dance is performed both in open position and in closed position depending on the setting and mood of the partners. Join us as we let you in on the secrets and techniques to perfecting one of Sydney's first sensual social dances. Move, lead, follow and feel 'Bachata' with every dance and every step. 8:30pm - 9:30pm Absolute Beginner Zouk Workshop with George and Barbara
Zouk-Lambada is a group of closely related dance styles based on or evolved from the lambada dance style and is typically danced to zouk music or other music containing the zouk beat. The name Brazilian Zouk is used to distinguish the dance from the Caribbean Zouk dance style, which is historically related to, but very different from the Lambada dance style. Zouk, now one of Sydney's most popular sensual, hypnotic & seductive social dance style is now available for you to Learn in an easy, concise 8 Week course. Be prepared to let the dance & music of Zouk take your mind & body to a brand new place.
